Legal
Cookie Policy.
This policy explains how RUBIX uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. We use only a small set of cookies to keep the site working, understand how it is used, and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your data. You can control cookies at any time through your browser.
What are cookies.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your actions and preferences over time, and understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — perform comparable functions, and we refer to them all as "cookies" in this policy. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted.
The cookies RUBIX uses.
We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. We group the cookies we use into three categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the website to function, such as maintaining security and remembering choices you make during a single visit. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, for example which pages are most useful. These are processed through Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Analytics data is used in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you personally.
- Preference — remember choices you make, such as dismissing a notice, so the site behaves the way you expect on future visits.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your information to third parties.
Cookie categories at a glance.
| Cookie type | Purpose | Managed by |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Enable core site functionality and security; remember choices made during a single visit. | RUBIX (first party) |
| Analytics | Measure how the site is used, in aggregate, to help us improve content and performance. | Google Analytics 4 (third party) |
| Preference | Remember your settings and choices so the site behaves as you expect on return visits. | RUBIX (first party) |
How to control cookies.
You can accept, block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you refuse all or some cookies, delete existing cookies, and warn you before a cookie is stored. Instructions are usually found in the "Privacy" or "Settings" area of your browser, including for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available from Google. On mobile devices, cookie and tracking controls are usually available in your browser app's settings menu rather than the device settings.
Why we keep cookies minimal.
We treat your data the way we would want ours treated. Because we sell consulting services rather than advertising, we have no reason to track you across the web or profile you for marketing. We use cookies only to run the site reliably, keep it secure, and learn — in aggregate — how to make it more useful. Where a cookie is not needed for one of those purposes, we do not set it.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to our legal obligations. The current version, with its "last updated" date, will always appear on this page.
